We were advised last week by Constellis of an upcoming enhancement that will simplify access to employee benefits resources by reducing the number of usernames and passwords employees need to manage.   Beginning May 27, employees accessing the Benefitplace employee benefits website will begin using the same login credentials currently used for their VOYA 401(k) account.

On May 6, 2026, I observed SPOI weapons qualifications with a focus on range operations. This observation was prompted by concerns raised by UPPSR Local 125 members regarding the grading of LSPT performance and the light levels during the reduced-light portion of the Combined Rifle and Pistol qualification. There were no concerns with the grading of LSPTs.

Today, we met with Training and Range Leadership to discuss several important issues regarding the current training cycle. During the meeting, we were informed that there had been a significant number of training reschedules for a variety of reasons. As we are nearing the end of the current training cycle, it is important that all SPOs understand the impact of incomplete qualifications.

Kelly will complete an out-of-cycle procedure update and revise all printed employee benefits guides to ensure clarity and consistency in the definition of a qualifying life event. The Issue: The current wording “change in employment status of employee, spouse, or dependent child” does not reflect the intended meaning and has not been interpreted this way in past practice.
