Effective immediately, there has been a change to the procedure for ambulance transport following workplace injuries.

If an employee is injured at work and requires transportation by ambulance, they will no longer choose which hospital they are transported to. All employees transported off-site by ambulance will be taken to Aiken Regional Medical Center. 

Reason for the Change

This change has been implemented by our Worker's Compensation carrier. 

Company and Union Response

The Company and the Union are currently working together to review this change and explore options to reverse the policy, so employees may continue to have the option to choose where they receive medical treatment. This is a recent development and information is still limited. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
